HOWARD McAVOY SCULPTURE-BIG

"I Got One" is 6' high, welded steel. I love to go fishing and I have lots of pictures of me holding a fish and looking silly. But since I always return the the fish to the water, the only thing I have is the picture.

"Just An American Boy" is 5' high, welded steel and patina.

"Fish Driver" "Fishsticks" "Blackeyed Fish"

"Windgong" is 5' high. Brass, steel, and copper. I really like the combination of metals in this piece. It's also very noisy but in a pleasant way. Hey more value for your sculpture dollar. Not only is it beautiful, it moves and makes noise.

"Bait" is 4'high and a combination of steel and brass and stone. I've had this idea in my head for a long time. Now, it's loose. Preston-Borey collection.

"Bent" is 5 feet tall. The stone at the head of the piece is full of the mineral Labradorite which is bright blue. It's kinetic too. Preston-Borey collection.

"Blown Sideways" is stainless steel and 6' high. Every once in a while you get a blast of life that knocks you sideways.

"Hail and Salute" is all stainless steel and 7 feet tall. I made this as a salute to George Rickey who died July 17th at the age of 95. He pioneered the art of kinetic sculpture. This piece was sold to a wonderful couple to add to their collection of McAvoys.

"Ballerina" is 7 1/2 feet tall. I sold this piece to a friend which is the best because I can see it over and over. This also shows that my work can look great inside as well as out.

"It's A Bird-It's A Plane" is 34 inches high. Everything spins in the wind on this one. When a sculpture moves, it introduces the element of time.

Hey that's my fish. Two very nice men own this restaurant in Hoboken, NJ. They bought this fish last year and a bigger fish this year. They said it really brings people in to the place and looks great lit up at night.

"Fish Driver" is 6 feet long. It can be displayed outside or inside. I sold this piece to a couple of fellow artists that live outside Buffalo. They sent me these pictures of it displayed on their garage. The birds are really enjoying it.
